FAQ

Straight answers

Does the bot need my API keys or a paid indexer?

No. Hodler talks to Solana RPC itself, and community features work with zero configuration beyond adding the bot. Wallet tracking is the only paid part, and it is priced per wallet.

How does verification actually work?

You send a unique, non-refundable SOL transfer to the bot wallet. The amount is recorded against your Telegram ID. Every 24 hours Hodler re-checks your balance on-chain; if it reaches zero your role and rank are removed automatically.

Will it mistake real market talk for FUD?

That is the point of the context-aware scanner. It reads the sentence rather than pattern-matching keywords, keeps an allowlist for legitimate market discussion, and verified holders are exempt from moderation entirely.

What can a group admin see?

Everything the group shares: the feed board, the 7-day leaderboard, and per-wallet activity. Members must consent before their wallet streams to a group, and you can revoke sharing per wallet at any time.

Is my wallet address exposed to the group?

Only if you choose to. Privacy mode replaces the address, the Solscan link and the traded amounts with placeholders in group cards. Your own DM always keeps the full record.

How is /topwallets different from “top holders”?

It ranks by observed net SOL flow. Hodler reads each candidate pool's recent transactions and sums every participant's net position — what they actually bought minus what they sold — so the board surfaces traders, not just wallets that never sold.

What happens to my data?

It stays in the bot's own database. Tracking is opt-in per wallet, stop tracking removes it, and a one-tap Close button cleans up any command you did not mean to run.
